Winners...yes, the store...

5 years...this Christmas season it would have been 5 years since I last hugged my baby sister. However, that all changed the other day in Winners. As I was looking around in the shoe section I heard a baby cry out "hmm..." I thought "I wonder what my baby niece whom I have never met sounds like". Shoes. So many shoes. The thought of family leaves my mind, and as I move from shoes to toys I spot a baby all in pink. She is beautiful and also eerily familiar to me. I try not to stare but something keeps bringing my eyes back to the baby girl wrapped in pink. Where? Where have a seen this child before. It dawns on me. She looks just like my niece Brooklyn, whom I have only scrolled through pictures of on facebook as she and my baby sister live in BC. The baby’s mom, I assume, turns around, all of a sudden I am being attacked, wait, not attacked, embraced in a huge hug! I pull away, my eyes fill up and tears stream down my face. It is my baby sister, and the baby in pink IS my niece. People are now staring at us as we are hysterical in the toy section of Winners. Who cares these people don’t know our story, not many people do. The 5 years has been broken, my baby sister has a baby (I am still not over that), and I love Winners!
